TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State University’s Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs will host the Professional Growth and Innovation Summit on Thursday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This dynamic, full-day experience brings together professionals from across the university to explore leadership, innovation, and collaboration through engaging sessions led by nationally recognized thought leaders who inspire growth and connection.
This year’s Summit will feature Executive in Residence Dr. Claire Brady, a national thought leader in artificial intelligence (AI) adoption and higher education innovation.
Dr. Brady will lead a keynote session and interactive discussions focused on:
The transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education
Grasping the essentials and identifying practical applications of AI
Driving student success and enhancing work-life integration through AI
Exploring high-impact practices and experimenting with AI in daily work
The Summit will also feature a variety of breakout sessions and collaborative learning opportunities designed for professionals at every level. Participants will gain new insights, expand their professional networks, and leave inspired to bring fresh ideas and innovations back to their teams.
About Dr. Claire Brady:
Dr. Claire Brady is a seasoned higher education executive and nationally recognized thought leader in artificial intelligence, organizational development, and institutional strategy. With more than 25 years of experience spanning student affairs, academic leadership, and executive consulting, she has guided institutions through digital transformation and cultural change with clarity, care, and a bias toward action.
Dr. Brady’s work is grounded in her “glass half full” philosophy—believing that optimism, when paired with strategy, can turn challenges into opportunities. She is the author of The Transformative Potential of AI: Recommendations for Student Affairs Leaders, a national report published in partnership with NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and the Strada Education Foundation.
