Dr. Claire Brady Named AI Executive in Residence at NASPA 2026 Annual Conference
The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) has announced that Dr. Claire Brady, President of Glass Half Full Consulting, will serve as AI Executive in Residence for the 2026 NASPA Annual Conference.
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape higher education, NASPA has created this Executive in Residence role to support leaders navigating AI strategy, governance, and institutional transformation.
As AI Executive in Residence, Dr. Brady will lead two large-scale sessions focused on helping Student Affairs leaders move from experimentation to intentional leadership.
Featured Sessions:
Stop Chasing AI. Start Leading It. What Student Affairs Needs Now
This session challenges leaders to shift from reactive tool adoption to strategic alignment. Participants will explore how to build governance structures, protect institutional trust, and position Student Affairs as a central voice in campus AI strategy.
Leading AI Without Losing Your Values: What to Do When AI Gets Complicated
As AI adoption accelerates, ethical and cultural tensions inevitably surface. This session provides frameworks for navigating risk, preserving human-centered values, and leading confidently when the path forward feels unclear.
Dr. Brady will also collaborate with senior leaders from across the country in two additional sessions:
Practical AI for Community Colleges: Strategic, Ethical, and Student-Centered Adoption
Co-presented with Dr. Sheri Rowland, Vice President for Student Affairs at Tallahassee Community College, this session offers real-world lessons from community college leadership, with practical tools tailored to access-focused institutions.
Practical Pathways for AI in Student Affairs: Lessons from VPSAs, AVPs, and Deans
Co-presented with Danielle Nesselbush (D’Youville University), Dr. Eddie Martinez (Suffolk County Community College), and Dr. Beth Lesen (CSU Long Beach), this session shares applied strategies and institutional case studies to help senior leaders move from pilot projects to sustainable, mission-aligned AI integration.
Executive Coaching for VPSAs
In addition to conference programming, Dr. Brady will offer individual executive coaching sessions for VPSAs (pre-registration required). These focused conversations are designed to help senior leaders clarify AI priorities, navigate campus dynamics, and strengthen their personal leadership strategy in an era of rapid technological change.
